The Bum Run is changing the course of colon cancer in Canada through promoting awareness and prevention. Every year over 1000 participants gather to walk or run in a timed 5Km event on the streets of downtown Toronto.
2018 Marks the 7th year for Bum Run. To date, Bum Run has attracted over 4500 participants, 250 volunteers, 10,000 donors and has raised over $500,000 net for charity. 100% of our donations go to charity every year thanks to our generous sponsors!
Don’t Just Sit On It, Love your Bum
On Sunday April 29th 2018 at 8AM more than 1000 people will participate in the 7th annual Bum Run, started by our local gastroenterologist Dr. Ian Bookman.
Because colon cancer is still the #2 cancer killer in Canada, yet 90% preventable.
The Bum Run is a 5Km walk/run street event in downtown Toronto along College, Spadina, Bloor and Bay Street that starts and finishes at Queen’s Park.
Everyone is invited to take part, including walkers, runners, children and pets (on leash).
All participants receive a medal and a shirt.
There will be a full pancake breakfast served to everyone that shows up, and more than 60 prizes will be given away, including for running and fundraising.
